2/19 Benefit for Haiti

On Friday, February 19th, we invite you to come dance, to honor the spirit of the people of Haiti during these difficult times, and to raise funds to help the work of healing and rebuilding being done by the Haitian and international volunteers with AMURT (for more information, see http://amurthaiti.org)

We at Dance Friday keep those in need in our minds and hearts always, but on occasion we try, as a community, to give more than just our consciousness. All net proceeds from the evening will be donated towards AMURT's Haitian Disaster Response.

8:00 - 9:30: Margaux DJs the beginning of our evening
9:30 PM Middle Circle: Images and Stories from Haiti - Bearing Witness
10:00 PM: Music from Haiti and the Haitian Diaspora with DJ Prakash and live music with John Viking, Lisa Bouchie and Haitian drummers
11:00 - 12:00: Andrew keeps us dancing 'til the end
